619FUTSAL Is Home To SoCal's Only Sanctioned U.S. Youth Futsal Academy!
619Futsal, established in 2011 by Sean Bowers and Mike Gentry, is the largest futsal league in San Diego. Drawing players from all regions of the County, 619Futsal started the futsal revolution in Southern California and continues to be the leader of the sport in the region.
We provide a forum for players to learn the game of futsal in a non-competitive environment. Our focus is on player development, skills, and teamwork; not trophies! Over 2,000 players participate in our youth leagues annually.
In June 2018, 619Futsal was awarded USYF Academy status and is the only USYF Sanctioned Futsal Academy in Southern California. Since its inception, the Academy has served over 300 youth players.
In the past three years...
- Over 200 players have attended the USYF Regional I.D. Camp hosted by the Academy
- Over 50 Academy players have joined the USYF National Teams for training and tours of foreign countries
- Hosted the annual USYF Southwest Regional Tournament
In 2019, the Academy Girls U14 team won the USFF Regional Tournament, while the the other Girls U14 and Girls U12 teams finished as runners-up.
Currently, we are the largest Academy in southern California with more than 300 members.
In the years to come, 619Futsal will continue to provide young futsal players with quality coaching and innovative programming to help them reach their soccer goals.
