WHAT IS TRAIN & PLAY?

619Futsal's Chula Vista Futsal Club offers players the opportunity to enhance their soccer skills by training and playing on a competitive futsal team. In addition to weekly training, your player will also play in local futsal leagues, and in two-to-three futsal tournaments that DON'T conflict with your outdoor club events throughout the year. 

WHAT IS FUTSAL?

Futsal is what the rest of the world plays to supplement their outdoor soccer play. It is 5-vs-5 (4 players plus a goalkeeper), played on a basketball court. The ball is smaller and a little heavier, in order for it to stay closer to the ground and to your player's foot. It is a Safe and Skill based sport, meaning, there is NO slide tackling, pushing or any kind of excess physical play. 

According to Dr. Emilio Miranda from Sao Paolo University, a futsal player will have 600% more touches on the ball than a soccer player. The amount of touches and constant situations will help to accelerate your players comfort with dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, defending and attacking over-all play.
